Hello friends,

We welcome bird watchers, nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers to participate in the 2013 Nebraska Prairie Chicken Festival. The Festival is a great opportunity to see two prairie grouse species perform their stunning displays amidst thousands of acres of Sandhills prairie while enjoying the company of local ranchers and fellow festival-goers.

Please feel free to print the attached flyer to post in your business, send to a friend, or simply fwd the flyer to anyone you think may be interested. We appreciate your help in getting the word out!

The Festival is a great way to celebrate grassland birds, the land and people surrounding them as well as promoting conservation of the Great Plains. We hope to see you there!

Loup Rivers Scenic Byway Interpretive Center !!

Nebraska Highway 11 and Nebraska Highway 91, Burwell Nebraska.

Welcome to the Heartland of Nebraska!

Traveling 150 miles from Wood River to Dunning along Nebraska Highways 11 and 91, the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway follows the river valleys of the Loup Basin to the beauty of the Sandhills. Named for three rivers, The North, Middle and South Loup Rivers, that rise from the Ogallala Aquifer deep in the Sandhills, the byway encourages you to slow down and enjoy small town hospitality.

From a stay on a working ranch with a visit to Nebraska’s Big Rodeo, to paddling a designated canoe trail, visiting a local festival, shopping for that special antique or just relaxing and gazing at the stars in some of the darkest skies in North America there’s something for you along the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway.

So instead of zipping past the Heartland of Nebraska on I-80, turn off, take your time and let central Nebraska and the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway put a smile on your face.
